Darlington changed the world when the first passenger railway set off from here in 1825, sparking global connections, shaping cultures, and bringing communities together across continents.
And this World Heritage Day, weβre celebrating that incredible legacy the best way we know howβ¦ with a joyful, unmissable day of music, dance, art, and performance!
Join us in the Goods Yard and outside North Road Station Museum as we welcome live musicians, artists, Zulu dancers, African drummers, a saxophonist and more, all coming together to share stories, rhythms, and creativity in the birthplace of passenger railways.
