Arthur Wharton Celebration Day
Join us for a special moment as we mark the opening the Arthur Wharton: He Changed the World From Here exhibition on Saturday 13 June.
To celebrate, there will be a small opening ceremony alongside the appearance of a truly unmissable giant Arthur Wharton puppet. Standing an impressive 3 metres tall, this striking figure will be roaming the site throughout the afternoon.

Plus enjoy live music and a face painter on site, making it a great day out for all ages.
And of course, it's your chance to visit the Arthur Wharton: He Changed The World From Here exhibition to discover the sporting legends life, how football and the early railways are connected, and of course try your footballing skills on the multi-ball wall or go for a race on the atheltics track.
Come along, experience the atmosphere and see this incredible tribute to a pioneering sporting figure brought to life.
