North Road Station Museum Tour

Include a tour of the Grade II* listed North Road Station Museum for your group to see our historic locomotives and heritage railway collection on display, and marvel at the technology used to tell the story of the Stockton & Darlington Railway.

Family History Workshop - coming soon!

In this two-hour workshop, our Collections Engagement Manager will guide you through family history resources. Perhaps you'll find a railway relative!

Information for group organisers

Coach drop off is on Station Road directly outside Hopetown Darlington. There is no coach parking on site. The nearest coach parking is on Chesnut Street, a 9 minute walk away.

Coach drivers receive a voucher for free refreshments.

All tours are recommended for age 16+

To avoid disappointment, pre-booking is recommended for all group visits.

Pre-booked groups will be greeted at the Goods Shed main entrance.

Site admission is free. Free site admission includes entry to North Road Station Museum, Darlington Locomotive Works viewing gallery and The Stores, as well as the shop, café and outdoor areas. Some exhibitions, events and activities carry a separate charge. For these, a separate ticket is required, in addition to a free site admission ticket. These include Wagon Woods adventure play park and the Brick Journeys exhibition in the Carriage Works.
