Chinese New Year Celebration Day
新年快乐 - Which means, Happy Chinese New Year, of course!
Start your February half term off with something a little different from our usual programme... Chinese New Year! It's a day of culture, celebration and colour.
With our railway heritage spreading across the globe and helping to develop and inspire cultures and communities, that influence worked exactly the same way and we're embracing equally important and inspiring cultures, too.
We'll be celebrating the year of the horse with the S&DR 26 Mile Team doing some fabulous horse crafts drop-in sessions.
We are also thrilled to welcome traditional Chinese Lion Dancers! Check out the programme below to make sure you catch them in action!
- 11am - Chinese Lion Show
- 12 noon - Chinese Lion Walkabout
- 1pm - Chinese Lion Duo Walkabout
- 2pm - Chinese Lion Show
- 3pm - Chinese Lion Walkabout
Lanterns, lights, dancing, entertainment... we've got it all. Hope you can join us!
Part-funded by the S&DR 26miles Community Grants Scheme and made possible by the National Heritage Lottery Fund. Part-funded by Hebei International School Partnership.
