Next Spring marks a spectacular new chapter in our railway heritage journey.

Following the completion of the mainline connection (estimated at £3 million worth of work!) linking Darlington Locomotive Works to the 1861 Shed, and onto the mainline, this exciting new experience - brought to you in partnership with Hopetown Darlington, The A1 Steam Locomotive Trust, North Eastern Locomotive Preservation Group and Darlington Railway Preservation Society - brings history to life like never before.

Just in time for the Easter holidays, families and steam enthusiasts can hop on board and enjoy rides sat behind some of the finest locomotives - celebrating the enduring legacy of both the Stockton & Darlington Railway and the bicentenary. It's more than a special event; it's a permanent feature to delight generations to come.
