Darlington Carnival

To ensure the safety of the Darlington Carnival parade before its arrival to Hopetown Darlington, there will be temporary road closures along the parade route:

Affected streets

• Elmfield Terrace
• North Lodge Terrace
• Thornton Street
• Corporation Road (between Thornton Street and Bartlett Street)
• Bartlett Street (between Corporation Road and Widdowfield Street)
• Mildred Street
• Drury Street
• Pendower Street
• Widdowfield Street (between Bartlett Street and Station Road)
• Station Road (between High Northgate and Hopetown Darlington)
• Arthur Street
• McNay Street

These streets will be closed between 11:00am – 12:30pm and will be reopened as soon as it is safe to do so on a rolling basis once the parades procession has passed.

No vehicle movement will be permitted during this time. If you live or park along the route.

• Please avoid moving your vehicle during the closure period
• If you need to travel please park elsewhere in advance
• If you don’t need your car please leave it parked
