Diwali Dance
Join us in the Stephenson Room for a dynamic celebration of Diwali.
Diwali is a celebration of good versus evil or light against dark which is why it is also known as the Festival of Lights.
It has several different meanings in various regions across India including:
• An association with the goddess Kali in the Bengal region
• Rama’s return from exile after the defeat of Ravana in northern India
• A celebration of Lakshmi, the goddess of wealth in Gujarat
• The victory of Lord Krishna in Nepal
Enjoy this wonderful and unique festival first hand through the art of dance. It is guaranteed to bring a fun filled day to your family!
